Letter from the President

Dear Leadership Morgan Hill Alumni, Board Members and Sponsors,

We have just concluded another year with a great class who completed an amazing project! The Class of 2009 held a fair titled Volunteer Morgan Hill to encourage people to volunteer in the community. There were close to 50 non-profit agencies participating and there were hundreds of people in attendance! Congratulations to the Class of 2009 on their successful project and completion of the program.

As we begin a new year, we have several board members leaving and several new board members joining the team. The board members leaving are: Karl Bjarke, Nick Boden, Maureen Drewniany, Ken Manuele and Steven Stratton. Thanks to them all for their tremendous service and dedication to Leadership Morgan Hill!

Our new board members are: Sharron Daniel ('09), Victor Gaxiola ('09), Ken Meagor ('08) and Christine Warner ('08). Congratulations to them all! We are thrilled to have them join the board.

We also have a new executive team leading the board in planning for the coming year. The President is Priya Smith ('08), Vice President is Diane Silveira ('07), Treasurer is Jeff Roth ('04) and Past President is Paige Riveron ('06).

We are currently focused on recruiting for the Class of 2010. If you know of anyone who might be interested in joining the class, please direct them to our website at www.leadershipmorganhill.org to get an application. Fireside Chat Topics

Based on the 2009 alumni survey, many people were interested in social events to discuss current issues. The alumni committee is exploring possible topics for a Fireside chat to be held sometime in February or March 2010. We'd like your feedback.

Welcome to the new Leadership Morgan Hill Blog!
Leadership Morgan Hill created this blog as a means to share information and encourage dialogue with our current class, alumni, future students, and community at large. It is our hope that through our blog postings, videos and links, we will provide a better picture of our organization and mission.

As a recent graduate of the program, and now a board member, I will serve as the editor/author of the blog. The content will be varied, and in the weeks and months to come we hope to share more about the people and stories that have made Leadership Morgan Hill what it is today.
